ELLISON, Deaconess Helen R., 95, formerly of 1429 Mechanicsville Pike, departed this life October 17, 2011. She is survived by her devoted cousin, Maudie S. Howell and family, Milton Howell and family; other cousins, Dorothy Dobson and Jean Pryor,, both of New York; caretaker, Mae Lynch; spiritual daughter, Edith Jefferson and family; and her Bethlehem Baptist Church family. Remains may be viewed Friday, October 21, at 10 a.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1920 Fairmount Ave., followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., with Rev. Dr. Victor Davis officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
