Single Memorial Tree

A year has gone by since my friend, Helen "Fergie" Ferguson, has passed away. She was always so thoughtful on holidays and special occasions by sending cards or visiting or calling. We miss you, dear friend.

Helen Ruth was my dear cousin. We grew up together, spending many joyful times at Grandmother's home in North Washington. I will never forget those precious times. We were best friends.

Miss Ferguson was my 5th grade teacher at Broad Street. She got me interested in watching birds. So glad she did. It's something my husband and I enjoy doing together today. She was rough on me at times. But it was because she knew me better than I did. She pushed me to be me and not follow the crowd. She will be missed

I remember Miss Ferguson as my older sister's roommate when I was a Center Avenue Student. She and Gail were great friends and both Center Avenue teachers. Decades later when I became a retired teacher and joined PASR, I was pleased to be welcomed by Fergie and Sonie into the group, and get to know her again. She encouraged me in my current ventures in her friendly and caring way that hadn't really changed from those days when I first knew her back in the early 1960s. Job well done. Rest...

I first met Fergie in 1958 when I was a beginning teacher at Center Avenue School, teaching 6th grade and Fergie had 5th. I was glad to rent a room and live for several years with Fergie and her dad. She was a great teacher and friend. Fergie is sadly missed but fondly remembered.

Helen Ferguson has been a very good friend of mine since my first year of teaching at Center Avenue School in Butler. Fergie was a caring and thoughtful friend ... always busy with church and club work. Rest in peace, my friend.

Fergie has been a great friend for a very long time. I will miss her.

Dear Friends and Relatives of Fergie, We shared many great times since meeting at Slippery Rock College. You will be missed! Your Friend, Mrs. Betty Cross
