HELEN GANCARZ

After months and months of phoning her I was so sad to find her obituary online.

Helen and I phoned each other on a regular basis. Last time we talked I had asked her to send me a contact person in her family in case something ever happened to her, but unfortunately she never got the information sent to me.

I am her 3rd cousin in Canada and I look forward to anyone in the family to contact me.

My condolences to the Gancarz family. Helen was an amazing person and was one of the first that welcomed my family and I to Free Soil 18 years ago. Her love for people and her enthusiasm for Free Soil history was beautiful. God rest her soul.

Did Helen ever teach at Beach Elementary School in Muskegon (Cloverville)? I had a Miss Gancsrz in third grade. If this is the same person, she was a very kind teacher.
