I only met Helen once but was very close to her long time friend Kay. We spent a long weekend in Utah skiing and laughing. She was such a great friend to Kay and will be missed. We must all cherish friends.

Helen was one of the gang of friends that we ran around with in college - always funny, but also a serious student, which not all of us could say. Later we knew her socially in DC, attended her parties with the memorable food; she introduced us to new friends, and the name for our 2nd son came to us during one of her parties. Her kitchen featured a series of giant rubber cockroaches, probably very frightening to the real thing. We missed her when we moved away, but are glad we got to see her...
