Toms River - Helen H. Gregory 93, of Toms River passed away peacefully in her home on October 28, 2018 surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Nothing compared to the immense love she had for her daughter Cheryl, son-in-law Stephen and her beautiful grandchildren Lauren and Philip; who affectionately called her "Mommoc,"

As the years went by, Helen welcomed Laurens's husband Chad Lacon into the family with open arms.

Helen and her beloved late husband Lester enthusiastically traveled the world. Both Helen and Lester also reveled in the art of grand parenting, providing guidance, compassion and a healthy dose of good humor.

A talented artist, Helen painted in many genres while living in her beautiful Lake Ridge community, where she was an avid and competitive bridge player in the local bridge club. Her love of the opera and daily newspaper crossword puzzles were legendary.

As well as her immediate family, Helen is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, who all respected her as the true matriarch of the family.

Helen will also be deeply missed by her caregivers, whose compassion and dedication to Helen was truly a blessing.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30PM on Friday, November 2, 2018 in the St. Mary of the Lake Mausoleum, Lakewood. Since flowers are not permitted in the Mausoleum, donations to Breast Cancer Research Foundation would be gratefully appreciated.
