Grandma Helen left all of us grandchildren and family with very special memories of time spent with her. Her love and devotion to her family has always been absolute. Since the time of when I was a little kid I always looked forward to visiting with her and getting some of the sweets she had baked and always kept around the house. So sorry to hear about your mother's passing. The kids had told me that she had become a really cool lady over the past years loving to trounce everyone in cards. My memories go so far back with her making ham/cabbage & potato soup in high school and her candy-making and the white chocolate cake that I still cannot make to this day. My Grandma will be extremely missed by her entire family. She always brought a smile to everyone's face, even when she was clobbering you at 500 rummy. It's sad when family moves away from each other but I always missed seeing her as often as I did when I was younger and I thought about her alot. I will I'd have been able to visit more.
