Helen Tapia "Tap" Knowlton

Anne and family,
Tap was a very special person and close friend to our mother, June T. Stocklinski, who passed in 2010. Mom held many river parties and Tap was always an important part of them - allowing us to tube down from her home to moms home on the Shenandoah and then attending the party. All of our friends looked forward to being with Tap. She will be so missed by so many and she will live on in our hearts.

Anne, Mama just called to tell me about your precious mother. What wonderful memories I have of your mom and dad, of Ashley Hall, Kanuga, Black Mountain,our weddings, and Mobile visits. Remember our chickens in the heart of Charleston? Your mom gave me my first piece of apple pie for breakfast. She was such an energetic,lovely lady. God bless you all. The world has lost one of its greatest treasures, my dear sweet Tap! What wonderful times we shared as Delta Rho Sisters! At my very first meeting you made me feel so loved and welcome! I knew then we would become friends! I will not say rest in peace that wasn't your style . Instead I will say dance among the stars my friend and glow brightly so I will know it's you! I love you my beautiful friend!
