I met Helen through a mutual friend who had been a neighbor of Helen's and who attended Helen's movie nights. When I say "met" Helen, I never actually met her in the physical sense, but through our mutual friend I heard so many stories about the wonderful person Helen was. For the last few Christmases I joyously gave Helen samples of my homemade fudge, and she never failed to send me thank you notes to say how much she loved the fudge.
