Helen Lias

Helen and I were friends from theuld alw first grade on. We would always sit next to each other at our High School reunions. She trusted me to treat Billy as his first dentist. We had a love-friendship. My wife and Helen were good friends. In the 4th grade, our teacher had a "wedding ceremony" at which time Helen and I were married . She would come to me with dental questions even though she knew I only treated children. I...

Helen was a beautiful person. In 2001 I began teaching in Columbus City Schools. We were in our beginning of the year staff meeting, and they introduced me to the staff. I was sitting next to Helen. She turned to me and said "I know your entire family." I will never forget that moment, in a time where I was nervous about my first day, she instantly became a warm and friendly face. Helen was a blessing to all who knew her. May her memory be eternal!
