Helen M. Matis

As the oldest of her nieces and nephews, I know the love she felt for each and every one of us. Cuddled us as babies. Always candy in the candy dish on Sundays! Easter Egg Hunts in the front yard. Mets games for birthdays. Danced polkas with us at St. Anthony's summer picnics. Watched us play baseball in the back yard on Sunday afternoons. Taught many of us how to make Baki's wonderful pierogis. For all this and so much more--Thank You Aunt Helen!

Helen was a lovely lady, she will be missed.

Helen was a pillar of strength and faith at St. Anthony's. Always ready to help make pierogies for our annual picnic. Always ready with a story from her early life. Always a smile on her face. God saved her a special place to be with her siblings in heaven. God rest her soul.
