Not sure what to say?

Aunt HaHa,
To me my Aunt Helen was always Aunt HaHa! My mother often told me that when I was a little girl I had a hard time pronouncing Helen and it came out HaHa. You were always so much more to me than an Aunt, a confidant, someone that seemed to always know just the right things to say to me to make things better. How wonderful for a child, young adult and now adult to have a person in their life like you! And what a beautiful memory you are for so many of us, both family, friends...

To the myriad of family and friends of Helen go our deepest sympathy at your and our loss.
Helen was "Southside Press" and the staunchest supporters of young girl and boy athletes in the community. She and her camera would be at all functions where youngsters were being honored and her work was "from the heart".
If you were on her last you would get surprise photos to include a cardboard standup of "Snoopy" her makebelieve mascot. She was talented and very active in spite of her own...

A true Sage
God bless

May Family,
As a recipient of many "Snoopy Press" photos please let me share my condolences to you. It was always a wonderful sight to see her on the sidelines of my lacrosse games.

My most vivid memories of Helen were of her taking photos at many area sports events. Thanks to her, I still have wonderful sheets of pictures of myself and my teammates playing softball in the late 1980's as she photographed the HHDS softball team. She always added the cutest captions to the pictures that still make me smile as I read them. Many people have benefitted from her kindness and talent. Helen will surely be missed.

Helen and I were friends. I first met her around l974 when I became Postmaster in Elmira and she came to my office with her camera and asked to take my photo. She placed snoopy on my desk and took a photo of us. I got it in the mail a few days later on a card with a caption. When I retired and became a National Disaster volunteer for Red Cross, again Helen called me for a photo with Snoopy in my Red Cross vest...and a few months ago in the St Joe's Cafeteria, I again met Helen and she had...

Aunt Helen, you will always live in our hearts. You were such an inspiration in life. We will cherish the memories forever. The picture of you, the $2 dollar bills and birthday cards from you are placed on the top of the piano in our living room, like your spirit is still with us. Little Zach will certainly learn the story about his wonderful Aunt Helen.

Helen May was a wonderful women. She gave me and my husband a beauiful home to raise our children in. She was so kind and cared so much for everyone. She would call every holiday just to let us know she was thinking about us. We will never forget Helen and yes she sent us many of pictures as well they were all wonderful. She is in a better place now watching over us. God belss her and her family. Love the Temple family 731 penn ave.

I remember Helen fondly as a "colleague" of my dad's, Dutch Bennett. He wrote a sports column for a small newspaper back in the 70's and it seemed Helen was always there for him to shoot a picture. I also remember seeing her at the many sporting events that my brothers, nephews and many friends participated in. God Bless, Helen.
