Helen Elizabeth McElroy

When we moved to Englewood, FL, in 2003 we became the very fortunate next-door neighbors to Wally and Helen. Such darling people and we have truly missed them since they returned to Wisconsin several years ago. In the meantime, we have gentle memories of both and we know that being together again is where they would want to be. We send our wishes for peace to Wally and Helen's family, knowing that while they will deeply miss them, they will be sustained by decades of love and joyful memories.

Psalm 90:10 says that the days of our years are 70 years, And if because of special mightiness they are 80 years.
May the memories of the wonderful times you shared together bring a smile and joy in your heart.

I extend my very sincere prayers and thoughts of condolence to you both at this time of sorrow for the passing of your Mom from this earth. I have many fond memories of Helen and Wally from the neighborhood, and I admired and respected them both from an early age, along with Bill and Grace Lebold. I often thought of them through my years in the Navy, as well as over the years after they retired and moved away. Your Mom and Dad will now both warmly remain in my thoughts always.

Wally McElroy was my shift Sgt. at Newark P.D.One of the finest men I ever knew. I met Helen a few times. A great lady. My condolences to the family.
