Helen McGee passed away peacefully on August 9, 2024. Her unsinkable spirit lasted 96 years, outliving her husband, all her siblings, and most of her friends. She was born in Ethel, Wash., where she grew up in a hand-hewn cedar log cabin on land that had been homesteaded by her grandparents....
