HELEN LaVERNE MILLER, 50, of Memphis, died June 9, 2010. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Friday, June 11 at Holy Faith United Ministries, 7997 Martha Street, Millington, and services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, June 12 at Holy Temple Baptist Church, 4590 New Allen, Memphis. Burial will be in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. She leaves three sisters, Degrah Polk, Curtistene Henry and Vicky Bell; six brothers, Curtis, Reginald, Tommy, Deron Barry, and Tracey Bell. i really miss calling vern at night.i miss us laughing and talking.she would laugh at me until shed almost bust.i have a trillion memories that i think about daily,so daily i tell myself shes still here.she was so beautiful as a woman,always smiling.i really miss my moma/sister/etc,but i know shes in heaven with her baby terry and they both still both looking down laughing and calling me crazy.stay strong family,just keep the faith and keep praying daily love always shaun!rip vern @terry

It was always a pleasure being in LaVerne's company and she was such a beautiful person. I had the honor of meeting her via Terrell (nephew)and had the hornor to have her at our family reunion. Although she had never met the entire family, everyone immediately accepted her as family with open arms. What a joyous time we had and she was the life of the party. I will treasure that SPECIAL moment in time spent. We were very sadden to hear of her homegoing and pray that God's unchanging hand...
