Helen Miller Obituary
Born in Rome, Georgia, February 14, 1957,the daughter of Harold Watters King and Frances Bolton Broach King. Helen attended Central Primary School and was a graduate of West Rome High School. She was a Girl Scout and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Rome.
Helen's college years were in Athens where she received BA and Master Degrees from the UGA Journalism School. She was a columnist for the Red and Black campus newspaper. Then, working at the Journalism School, she enjoyed the connection to the Peabody Awards.
In the Atlanta/Roswell area, Helen was known by the Write Words name and was a writer and private contractor.
The family had season UGA football tickets so a favorite pastime for several years was Helen and her mother making videos in Sanford Stadium before home games. Mother asked questions about the visiting team and Helen's answers would be serious and sometimes amusing.
A highlight was Helen's attendance with her family, to be in New Orleans for the national football championship in 1980.
Helen was preceded in death by her father, Harold Watters King, her grandparents, Raymond C. and Helen Baumgartner Broach of Macon, Ga. and Frank M. and Marguerite Adams King of Adairsville, Ga.
Survivors are her husband, Jace Miller, mother, Frances Broach King, brother, Harold Broach King, sister Fran Rauschenberg, nephew Mattison Rauschenberg, niece, F. Taylor Rauschenberg and great nephew, Lorne Rauschenberg. Also surviving are Uncle and Aunt, William H and Barbara Broach of Bryn Mawr, Pa, many cousins and a host of friends.
A celebration of life will be held at the home of Cheryl Brimer, 242 Hunting Creek Drive, Marietta, Ga. on December 10 from 1 to 4PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Helen's name to Sheltie Rescue of Ga. Inc. 201 Hampton Drive, Dawsonville, Ga
Roswell Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

I was so surprised to read about Helen´s death in the West Rome newsletter. I didn´t even realize that she went to WR.
Our family had several connections..Mothers were long time friends. Many years have gone by but wanted to acknowledge and share in your loss.
