Helen had a wonderfully dry sense of humor and a quick subtle wit. She was already well established when I came into the workplace. Looking to her and the other nurses I learned how to navigate the world of student health-Thanks Helen! I remember you with fondness and delight. My memory of Helen is still cherished.

My sincere sympathy to the family of Helen Patterson. I appreciated the notice in the paper and the wonderful photograph. I will not forget her gracious enjoyment and calm command of her home and garden under the oak trees in Eugene. I pruned her rhodies and maples and can still hear her say..."Randy, we mustn't forget Old Port. it gets so big."
