Helen Hunter Pedersen

I sang in Helen's JH/HS choir at Haller Lake from ca. 1964-68 and also took a few piano lessons with her before entering the UW to major in music. She was wonderful to work with, had high standards, and had a wonderful program.

She kept in touch through my concerts in the Seattle area with Seattle Pro Musica, my PLU choirs, or Choral Arts and never seemed to change.

Like many who worked with her, I owe her a debt of gratitude for her work, love of music, and willingness to share...

Dear Doug, Janice, Gretchen, and Erica:
I am sad to hear of Helen's death so close to Christmas. She was a strong and influential pillar of the Pedersen clan. I have fond memories of her playing the organ for my wedding. I will dearly miss her wonderfully creative Christmas cards she sent faithfully every year. My mother, Dorothy, and sister Judy send their regards also. I wish I could come to her funeral and touch base with all of you. Please know that you are all in my prayers. ...

I knew Helen only briefly but I remember Helen very fondly. I remember her strength and happy face. God bless her family.
