Helen was always so warm and friendly to those of us at Christ the King Catholic Church. I am deeply sorry for your lost. I will miss Helen's warm smile, care, and concern for others.

God truly blessed us with Mrs. Helen Pollard. We met a few years ago at Christ the King Church, once over her corn chowder at one of our Ash Wednesday soup suppers (she let us taste her stash that was in her thermous!). On another occasion she walked up to us with her trademark smile, commenting on how proud she was of our son reading the scriptures during Mass. She even loaned us the, then, new SAT prep video for review when she heard that he was in highschool. Wow! We are very thankful...

I was educated in the St. Louis public school system where Mr. and Mrs. Pollard once worked. I fondly remember Mr. William B. Pollard when he was principal of Alexander Hamilton Elementary School. I just wanted you to know that your family had a great impact on a generation of young students in St. Louis. I thank you for that.
