Owens and Brumley Funeral Home - Wichita Falls Obituary



Helen D. Schuman, 83, of Wichita Falls passed away Monday, August 21, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 25, 2017 at the chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls with Pastor Rick Ross of Liberty Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 until 8:00 Thursday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.



Mrs. Schuman was born December 7, 1933 in Levelland, Texas to the late Monty Ralph Patton and Overa (Reeves) Patton. She graduated high school in Oklaunion, Texas. Helen married Lee Schuman who passed in 1955 and later married Dee Schuman who passed away in 2004. Helen was a resident of Burkburnett until moving to Wichita Falls in 1996. She was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church here. She loved to travel and was involved in square dancing. Helen was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.



Helen was preceded in death by her two husbands; her daughters, Donna Lee Slayden and Jan Schuman; a sister, Louella Patton. She is survived by her children, Sue Markum, Randall Schuman and Kim Williams and her husband, Mike, all of Wichita Falls; brother, Larry Dan Patton and wife Linda of Vernon, Texas; sister, Sally Stevens of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Alicia Warren and husband, Dennis of Burkburnett, Brady Williams and Chase Williams, both of Wichita Falls; two great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
