Helen M. Schweitzer, 101, of Bangor, PA, passed away Saturday, January 21st, peacefully in her sleep at her residence.


Helen was born in Bangor, PA on February 16, 1921, a daughter of the late Arch M. Pritchard, Sr. and Nettie C. (Bisher) Pritchard.


She was the wife of the late Lloyd F. Schweitzer who passed away in 1981. Helen was a graduate of Bangor High School. She was employed as a sewing machine operator at the former Majestic Athletics in Bangor, PA until retiring. Helen was a former Girl Scout Leader, an active member of the former Blue Valley Youth Band, a member of the Cloverleaf Saddle Club, and a member of the Penn Jersey Horse Shore Association. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren.


She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Bangor, PA.


Helen is survived by a daughter, Deborah E.S. Fox, a son-in-law Jay B. Fox, two grandsons Justin M. Fox, husband of Bobbi and Jason R. Fox, husband of Lauren, and six great-grandchildren Emily, Brooklyn, Ashlynn, Lillian, Owen, and Wyatt Fox. She was predeceased by a sister Nettie Burke, and two brothers Arthur "Red" Pritchard and Arch Pritchard, Jr.

I quickly recall sitting on the porch , or out and about at times , sharing the beauty of conversation, laughter, songs and prayers together which will always be treasured.
