Helen Malarkey Thompson

Meeting Helen in dental office was a memorable moment I reflect on when the sky is uniquely filled with contrasting colors of clouds. We talked about painting skies. Her voice filled with youthful enthusiasm & joy in observing clouds that "make us want paint today" leaves me smiling for years after our lengthy chat....when I see a day like today....a Helen Malarkey Thompson Portland sky CLOUDY sunny day....She was simply sunshine in the waiting room that day! A rare find!

I grew up around Mrs. Thompson. Throughout my life, I always thought of her as the oldest lady that I knew! She is also one of the kindest and sharpest people that I have known.

I will always remember Mrs. Thompson and she will be a part of my life forever because of her special relationship with my mother, Irene Hilbourne.
