Helen Belle Vass

Helen Belle Vass, 88, of Hillsville, passed away Friday, April 23, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Vass was born in Staunton, Va. to the late George Booker and Cordelia Andrew Swink. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James E. Vass, Sr. and brother, Ted Swink. She is survived by her daughter, Judith E. Danielian-Holland, of Rockville, Md.; son, James E. Vass, Jr., of Port O'Connor, Texas; sisters, Virginia Craig, of Staunton, Va. and Martha Taylor. of Harrisonburg, Va.; four grandchildren, David L. Danielian-Holland, Janice E. Danielian, Catherine Holland, and Robert J. Holland, Jr.; and very special pet, King James III. Funeral services will be held on 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady
Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service beginning at 10 a.m.. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Twin County Hospice P.O.
