Helen Wallis Verrett

Helen Wallis Verrett, age 91, native of Terrebonne Parish resident of Houma, Louisiana passed away at 6:52 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Terrebonne General Medical Center.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, August 3 and from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. Saturday, August 4 at Community Funeral Home, 230 South Hollywood Road, Houma.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 4, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1830 Prospect Boulevard, Houma. Interment will follow the funeral in St. Luke Cemetery, 3755 Bayou Black Drive, Houma.
Helen is survived by Andrea V. Banks, Charita Verrett, Kathy Verrett, Leta V. Williams and Kelvin Verrett Sr. of Houma; Reginald Verrett (Margie), Ronnie Verrett Sr. (Carmen) and Terrell Verrett Sr. (Sharon) of Houston, Texas; Duane Verrett Sr. (Lydia) of Owasso, Oklahoma; 36 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by husband, Harold Verrett Sr.; parents, Abraham Sr. and Effie Short Wallis; son, Harold Verrett Jr.; siblings, Laverne Wallis Sims, Ruth Wallis Evans, Abraham Wallis Jr. and Cleon Wallis Sr.; and one grandson, Michael Verrett.
She was baptized on June 5, 1967 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and remained a loyal servant until her death
