Jerry Weiss,
Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your wife, Helen!
She (and you) were very gracious towards me and my daughter, Tirsa, when she was a young child.
I enjoyed seeing you two walking around Upper Montclair!

Jerry,
A whole life passes before my eyes as I learned of Helen's death. As childhood friends, then teen agers, followed by our adult connections and friendships, we shared a lifetime of important passages. I bow my head in grief as her memory becomes embedded in my life's story; from Highland Park to Montclair, New Jersey.
My sincerest condolences to your extensive family, especially to Richie, and to you, my longtime friend.
With fondest regards,

M JERRY and family: It is with profound sadness that I read of the passing of your beautiful wife and mother.
Helen was a sophisticated scholar and writer of many creative narratives.
Her passing shall leave a void in not only N.J. but the Education Community.
Be well and God bless you and your talented family.
With Infinite Love,
Daniel J. Lane

What a great and gracious woman to put up with the likes of Dr. Weiss' students and especially his mid-1960's graduate students. As an anthologist of humor, I'm sure that she got more than one laugh out of the bunch of us. Dr. Weiss, my heart goes out to you and your family on your loss. It is our loss, too, because you and she always made us feel like family. Love to you all.
