Not sure what to say?

I lost touch with Miss Helen when I moved to NV, however, I have always thought of her through all these years. We met working for the State of Oregon back in the 70's. I was her boss for awhile. I loved receiving her annual travel postcards from across the globe & saved each & every one. Every time I tell a "Helen" story it makes me happy & I thought of her as a true high spirited Aunty Mame. I hope her zest for adventure is eternal. Love, Rena Drake Pentecost

My wife and I send our condolences to Helen's family. We knew Helen through RAPSU and were impressed by her joie de vivre. She certainly lived life to the fullest and will be missed by all who knew her.

I feel so fortunate to have known Helen! What a curious, gutsy, adventurous woman - a true inspiration. Anyone who decides maybe they should give up solo sailing at 80 is my role model! She lived a full and rich life, and raised a wonderful family. May she rest in new-found peace.

Kim and Tammy,

I am so sorry about your loss. Helen was ageless and wonderful and beautiful. I first met her when I was at PSU over 40 years ago, and re-met her at HGP. She was a special friend to my late husband, Selby Clark, who was the director of the Counseling Center at PSU. She had so many wonderful qualities it is hard to state them all, but one that I particularly loved was her adventurous spirit.

I hope you both are well and happy.

Hello. I'd like to extend my sympathies to your family. Kim Worrall: I hope you don't mind my contacting you here, but I believe you were my second grade teacher at Llewelyn Elementary in Portland. You were my first teacher as I was homeschooled prior to second grade. Anyway, just thought you'd like to know that a former student remembers you. I always thought you were very kind. Regards, Rachael Haggerty. P.S. Apologies if I have the wrong Kim Worrall

My sympathies.
