I will forever treasure the time I spent with Aunt Helen teaching me how to make lamb pita and baklava. She used various sized jars and containers for the ingredients. When I asked her how much they measured so I could write down the recipe, she'd shrug her shoulders and with her impish smile and twinkle in her eyes say "eh a cup" (or whatever the measurement was for that jar). When I first visited the family of my husband-to-be, Neocles Leontis, Helen´s nephew, at Christmas 1995, aunt Helen welcomed me with open arms and heart into her beautiful home where a tremendous festive dinner was prepared for the entire extended family.
