Our meetings were few but we were so impressed with Helene and her support of our Daughter-in-law ,Sarah, during a difficult period as well as her wedding and childbirth. She reached out to many with her thoughtfulness. Matthew , Mike and family, may your grief be eased by your loving memories. We will keep you in our prayers. Aunt Helene will be greatly missed by her only niece on the Ekdahl side, Sarah Ekdahl Lapsen, and her only Ekdahl-side nephew, Kevin Ekdahl. Even though we never lived close to one another geographically, I always felt so loved by her in so many ways, especially as Helene was also one of my godmothers. Whether it was the cute birthday cards she unfailingly remembered to send, or her unshakeable belief in me as a person (it was Aunt Helene who first insisted that her bookish little niece...
