Not sure what to say?

We met in 1967 when Jim & my son played little league baseball. In the 50+ years since, we went through a lot together. Raising kids, hysterectomys, husbands deaths, grand & great grand children, major downsizing moves, cancer & a fabulous 6 week trip to Europe in the 80's. She was the kind of friend that was always there when I needed her. My sincere condolences to Jim, Kirk and their extended families & Gesila.

Helga was a special lady who loved kids enough to take a group of us to her homeland of Germany. It was a wonderful trip with lots of special memories! My deepest condolences to Jimmy, Kirk and your families in your loss. May your memories of happy times bring comfort.

Many prayers for you family during this time!

I didn’t know her but know Kirk and Polly and their family. Condolences to all. She sounds like she lived a wonderful life teaching kids and loving her family.

Helga was blessed with a great husband, two fine sons, and many grandchildren. She was exceedingly proud of her family and rightly so. I first met her in 2014 when I became the music director of the Houston Saengerbund, the club she and James had been part of for many years. She was very supportive of me as I attempted to form new programs and events, and I will always appreciate her tips on German diction. She now reunites with her beloved James, and I wish them everlasting peace.
