Dr. Helmut M. Sassenfeld

Deacon Sassenfeld was a wonderful man. My prayers are with his family.

To all the Sassenfelds my heart goes out to you all. Your father was a great man whom I enjoyed seeing throughout my life. I grew up with you all being as close as my own family. I send my condolences to you all. Hans thanks for letting me know and if I am able to do anything please ask.

So sorry to hear about Helmut's passing. He lived a long full life and he is now with his beloved wife. The Watson's and Sassenfeld's spent many a Thanksgiving together and those moments will be dear to our heart.

My prayers are for not only Helmut but the family as well. I had often wondered where Helmut had gone. I enjoyed his many stories of life in Germany and thereafter when he attended classes at St. Charles Seminary in preparation for becoming a Deacon. Blessings.

I grew up across the street from the Sassenfeld family, growing up with Nora and knowing many of the other family members.

I know you will miss him and I'm sorry for your loss, but I know you are proud of the long and wonderful life he lived for God and his wonderful family! What a great legacy he leaves behind - I know he is looking down proudly with your mother with tears of joy!

Papa Helmut you were always such a blessing to have in my life. You and Granny taught me so many things. From helping Granny on the cash register at her store, sliding down the top of your stairs and the talks we would have in your office; I have some of the best memories with both of you. Thank you for loving me like your own and teaching me what good and REAL spätzle & sausage tasted like. I love you Papa Helmut and I'll be missing you. -Genny

I had the pleasure of meeting Helmut several years ago while working for the TRADOC Analysis Center at White Sands. He was my office neighbor and we shared many moments, both analytical and personal. He was an outstanding analyst and a fine person, he will be missed. I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the entire family.

I had the honor and pleasure of working with Helmut at TRADOC Analysis Center-White Sands Missile Range for many years. He was a good friend and a mentor to me on several projects. He was always available for technical insights whenever I needed his expertise. My sincere condolences to his family.

Dear Eric & Jane, it was so good to see you this weekend, and to get to know you, Eric, just a little better. Jane is truly blessed to have you as her husband! I am so sorry for the loss of your dad, and I pray the memorial service is a real celebration of his life, and that the Lord sustains you and gives you all "His peace that passes all understanding" as only he can during this difficult time.
