I met Halmut in 1975 when i was a student in Ann Arbor and as a new immigrant, Halmut understood what it meant to move to a county as an adult and was extremely helpful and kind to me. I left Ann Arbor to join the foreign Service and lost contact with Halmut till i retired and returned to the US in October and saw the obituary. A very generous and a kind man - cheema
