Helon Lewis Chichester

Helon Chichester was my first chemistry instructor at College of Alameda. I was an adult student, and the only other older student became my lab partner in that class. Chichester's repartee in lecture was so full of humor that we both nearly split our sides laughing as he delivered, while the kids in the class were busily taking notes, not understanding any of the jokes. Sasha and I loved him and are grateful he was a part of our lives. Looking at our certificate of marriage signed by Helon in 1981 and an internet search brought me here.

I met Mr Chichester (that is what i referred to him then and it stuck) nearly 30 years ago. he will remain Mr Chichester to me with the deepest regard, no disrespect to other equally respectable titles. I enrolled in his US history class at College of Alameda, for no particular reason, a few shiftless years after a stint in the US Navy.
