Henrietta Helen 'Etta' (Donahue) Hart Nov. 26, 1925 — Feb. 9, 2009 Henrietta Helen Hart, 83, died at 8:31 a.m. Monday, February 9, 2009 in Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Dr. Matthew and Henrietta (Baechly) Donahue and has been a resident of Marion for the past 50 years. She married, Wade John Hart, August 28, 1948 in Our Lady of Good Counsel, Cleveland, Ohio and recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary together. She retired from teaching at Washington Jr. High and Justice Middle Schools in the Marion Community School System. Etta graduated from James Ford Rhodes High School, Cleveland, Ohio and attended Allegany College in Meadsville, Penn. She finished her B.A. degree at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. She received her Masters degree in Botany and Zoology at The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio and received her Masters in Education at Marion College. She was a member of the Board of Directors for Via Credit Union for over 35 years and served on the board of directors for YMCA Camp Tecumseh. She participated in the Marion Business Women's Club and the Mississinewa Audubon Club. Etta was an avid bird watcher and nature lover and enjoyed visiting state parks. She was a financial advisor and investor. She loved spending time with her family and hosting the annual family reunion every Easter. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's school functions and sports. Survivors include husband, Wade John Hart, Marion; sons, Steven Hart, Rochester, N.Y., Edward (Pamela) Hart, Naperville, Ill.; daughter, Jeanne Silveus, Marion; grandchildren, Stefanie and Greg Hart, Casey and Michael Hart, Linda and Sarah Silveus, Jenny, Brian, Katie and Elizabeth Hart; brothers, Walter (Karla) Donahue, Phoenix, Ariz., Matthew Donahue, Tallahassee, Fla., Jack Donahue, Brazil, South America; daughter-in-law, Lynne Hart, Indianapolis; and dogs, Cali and Clay. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by son, Michael Hart; brother, James Donahue; sister-in-law, Menzette (Peterson) Donahue. Mass of Christian Burial is at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2009 in St. Paul Catholic Church, 1009 Kem Road, Marion. The Rev. Richard Weisenberger will officiate. Burial is in Grant Memorial Park, Marion. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2009 in Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion.
