Henry Bannish passed peacefully with his wife by his side on May 1, a sunny Sunday morning. No rain, no clouds, no wind. A beautiful spring morning....great for farming! Henry's life was one of nurturing: first the crops, then the students, and always his family and friends. Every living being...

Not sure what to say?

Henry was the kindest educator I´ve yet had the pleasure of interacting with in my life. I regret not being able to thank him properly in my adult life for his kind words, but I´m gratified he was recognized by the many whose lives he touched, particularly at his retirement. He was one of the very few people in the school system to seriously, compassionately, and earnestly lend an ear. I genuinely look back at what he accomplished periodically and consider a change in career to be able to...

Henry and Jim were such wonderful friends. All we Wagners send our condolences and comfort.

In our memories and hearts forever.. all our love to Sally and Bannish families. Michael, Doreen , Breanna and Brandon Castor

Here's to a life well lived! May the memories of Henry's life soothe your sorrow and give you peace.

The fact that I´m just now finding out about this and didn´t get to pay my respects is destroying me.. you were such an amazing soul ! I wouldn´t have made it through school days with you.. I´m so sorry I didn´t get to say bye :( until we meet again , IM FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR YOU God bless this family !

To the entire Bannish family and friends, I offer my sincere sympathy. On the 10th I would have been there with you to honor Henry's memory, if we had not been away on a trip at the time. As a fellow School Adjustment Counselor, Henry stood out as one, who cared enormously for his students and families. This I loved and admired so very much about him. His loss in this world will be great, while his example lives on. I love, "Do something for somebody else today." That was so true of...

Dear Sally, Mitch, Karen, and the entire Bannish Family, The world is a lesser place without Henry. He was truly one of the best people we ever knew. He had to be the kindest and most selfless person ever. It was our good fortune to call him our friend. So many wonderful memories of Henry at "Voke," I was blessed to have him by my side as colleague and friend. Our prayers are with you all. We send much love. Jo & Keith

Hank, what he asked us to call him, was a "breath of fresh air" at Cathedral High School in 1969. He was also voted our favorite teacher. Wonderful human being, I am sorry to read of his passing. May he rest in Peace. John Somers
