Not sure what to say?

So sorry to read of Hank's passing. I knew Hank and Fran from St Patrick's Church. Lovely people. RIP Hank.

Henry was always upbeat, positive, compassionate, helpful, student-centered and a true gentleman. He will be missed, but remembered for all the great things he did.

...may he rest in peace!

Paul B. Thornton

My condolences, Fran. Both you and Henry are surely missed in our Chicopee neighborhood. We shared a mutual friend in Carol and consoled each other when she passed. He was a kind and caring gentleman.Chris

Growing up on Grise Drive seems like so long ago but I will always remember Mr. Benjamin as a kind and happy person.
I had the opportunity to sit and talk with him a couple of months ago, and he hadn't changed one bit. Still the cheerful, hopeful and kind person.

My prayers and thoughts are with the entire Benjamin Family

At one of our class reunions, he told me to call him Henry. But to me he'll remain Mr. Benjamin, my 12th grade chemistry teacher at Ludlow High in his very first year back in 1959/1960. Once during an exam, he caught me looking at the colored periodic table of elements on the wall behind. I can still hear him in his friendly but firm tone, "Mr. Phelan, turn around and get to work." He was a born teacher. Always engaging but with such a remarkable ability to get the lessons across. ...

Thank you Professor Benjamin for being such a kind & patience Teacher,Many of us will sadly miss you & your sweet soft voice.Goodbye professor,R.I.P.

We were both so sorry to hear of Professor Benjamin's passing. What a wonderful teacher he was to us both at AIC in the late 80's and early 90's. He always greeted everyone with a warm smile and kind word. A true gentleman in every sense of the word, and such a loss to all who knew him.

Our deepest condolences to his family,

Mark and Gail (Crawford) Buckley

I wish to send the Benjamin family my condolences on the passing of Professor Benjamin. I worked for him as a laboratory assistant back in 1977 and 1978 in the basement of Breck Hall for the Introductory Biology classes. He was a dedicated teacher, who cared deeply for his students and their success. I learned much from him on how to teach and support students. I mimicked his techniques in my own teaching.

He was a man of deep faith who lived it regularly and proudly. I remember once...
