GENTRY FAMILY FUNERAL SERVICE- YADKINVILLE Obituary

Bowles Yadkinville-  Mr. Henry Wilson Bowles, 95, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015.  He was born on May 3, 1920 to the late Walter Henry and Lela Howell Bowles.  Mr. Bowles was retired from A.T. & T and from Courtney Volunteer Fire Department.  He was a faithful member of Turners Creek Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Hazel “Kate” Bowles; by a son, Hurley Wilson Bowles; and by several brothers and sisters.  Surviving are his daughter, Louise (Robert) Allgood; granddaughter, Valerie (Ronald) Cockerham; great-grandchildren, Jake and Victoria Steelman; and a sister, Camilla Elam of Winston-Salem.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Saturday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  His funeral service will follow the visitation on Saturday at 3:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Scott Welch and Rev. Jeffrey Baity.  Burial will follow in the Turners Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family would like to express their gratitude to New Horizons, Judy Simpson, Coleen Ball, Dr. Barry Seltzer for all his years of care, Dr. James McGrath and Staff, Courtney Volunteer Fire Department; and Willowbrook Health Care.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either Turners Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or to Brenner’s Children’s Hospital.  Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
