Henry was a great person, he was alway there when I needed him most. He was a gentle and kind man who loved his family. The last time I saw him was only 1 or 2 weeks before he died. It was mid January and me and my younger cousin (Laney Moore) made gingerbread houses with him. I was only 8 and she was 7, and he invited us over like he knew what was going to happen only a few weeks later. I wish I knew so I could tell him goodbye and that I love him. I remember Henry from my track days at MAHS. He would take a little time out from practicing for his other events to join me and Merle Balmer at the polevaulting pit. With his great, natural athletic ability, he was able to vault as well, even a bit better than I, without having to practice for hours and hours, as I had to do.
