Not sure what to say?

Connie has shared many lovely stories of life with her dad, but the words in the Oregonian brought him to life even more richly for me. Thank you for sharing some beautiful and inspiring memories!

What an interesting and fulfilling life Henry led--and what a legacy he left! I am privileged to have met him and to have experienced the warmth and energy he exuded whenever he came to visit and help out his girls :o) at Glimmer Train. My condolences to his family. I wish you many happy and enduring memories.

When Henry added an addition to his place of business I did the painting for him. I started right out of high school and was only maybe 19 at the time. He took an interest in me and spent time talking to me. When I was done he gave me a new crock pot and instructed me how to use it. He was concerned about my long work hours and being single and thought this would offer me a way to have a meal ready to eat when I got home at the end of the day. I still have the pot.

I'm grateful to have known Henry—he projected love and gentle wisdom always, in the brief moments I got to share of his very good life.

Thank you for this beautiful memorial to your father. I did not meet him, but I do know his smile! We send our love to Carmel and all of your family. Charlie and Sandra Vance

We have much admiration for Mr. Burmeister, and his family, through knowing him at his store and medford montessori school. It is an honor to have known him. Reid and Anne Murphy

Thank you for giving those of us who never got to meet Henry such inspiring motivation to honor his exemplary life with our emulation. A toast to Awe'll Best B4 US!

I met Henry and his wife many years ago when learning to hang wallpaper. I later met the women who became his second wife and was so happy for both of them. My thoughts are with all of you in your loss of this wonderful man. Janet McMullin

My heart is bursting with love for Henry-what an inspiring life he led.
