Not sure what to say?

Len, It's been a very long time since we've seen one another, I almost thought you fell off the end of the earth.
I often remember the times we had at Brighton School, Syracuse, NY and the time you tried to fix the valve on my Conn trumpet..LOL!
Then low and behold your obiturary appeared in the Syracuse Post Standard, January 15,2012.
I see that you have a family a thoughtful and loving one at that. We lucked out there, Len.
I hope that I will be able to attend your...

I took lessons from Len in the late 60s. I remember a little room upstairs in a music store on the South Side across from Sears. - It sure could could get warm up there!! I'm sure I was a forgetable student because I didn't practice enough. But at 56, I play more now than I ever did.
Thanks Len, and the best to his family!!

My prayers and condolences go out to the Carey family for the loss of Len.
Back in 1958, when I was a student at CBA in Syracuse, Len was the drum instructor for the school's entire drum line. I was always amazed at his talent and expertise in the 'rudiments'. He set a great example for myself and others, and always offered positive encouragement.
Rest in Peace, Len.

My sincere condolences to the family of Len Carey. Len was my first drum teacher beginning lessons in 1963 and was my first tympani instructor, the instrument I still play to this day. As a charter member of the Syracuse Symphony Youth Orchestra, Len permitted the Youth Orchestra to borrow the SSO's percussion instruments for performance and was readily available to coach us during rehearsals.
