Henny was a consummate tinkerer, always trying to improve how things worked, whether by way of his patented step-back thermostat, or blocking off his car so that air-conditioning wasn't wasted on the back seat, or goodness knows how many other things. I will always treasure the photo of him in Mantoloking along with our Henry, and Brie and Saga; when I look at it, both Henrys show the same, unrestrained grin.
