Not sure what to say?

Dear Tema, after all the years I've known Henry and the time since his passing I mention his work on Romanian women more often and I am grateful for his vision and compassion. He will never be forgotten. The photo is from my visit to Ipas in 2018. Daniela Draghici, Romania

Dear Tema,

On behalf of the Boardand staff of the Moscow Center for Gender Studies I want to express our deepest condolences to you on the loss of Henry. Meeting Henry was a true blessing and his passing is a great loss for all of us. He was a unique person, and we learned so much from him - as a scholar and as a humanist. Henry David was a member of the MCGS Advisory Board and he was our dear friend for many years. He extended his generous support to us in the midst of the...

I got last message from Henry December 27, he answered my seasonal greeteings and invited to their Bethesda new home. I think I was one of last foreign guests in an old house of Henry and Tema before they sold it. I was luckey to be one of many Eastern European professionals working with Henry David on defferent projects on women's rights and reproductive issues for more than 10 years, and it was more than traditional partnership. His wisdom, kinedness, deep understanding of people and...

Dearest Tema:

It is difficult to believe that Henry is no longer with us. He was a Friend and a Mentor who always was there for me and for so many of us - as we moved through our personal and political journeys. No words can express how generous he was with his time, advise and heart to the emerging feminist research institution - Moscow Center for Gender Studies - as a member of the international advisory board and as a dear and caring friend. He opened the world of opportunity to...

To the family,

Henry was a stalwart, compassionate and unusual friend of women's reproductive health rights worldwide. I will miss him.

Dear Tema -
Henry was such a gentleman, a scholar, a friend, a mentor. His kind words, his thoughtful, clear and consistent contributions, his graciousness, his passionate advocacy remain and will remain. We have all heard and take with us his words, "be well." I join the many around the world who send you deepest condolences and strength.

Dear Tema,

On behalf of the Board and staff of Ipas, I want to express our deepest sympathy to you for the loss of Henry. Our field will not be the same without Henry’s creative intellect, visionary thinking, and above all, his great compassion for the problems women face in exercising their reproductive rights. He will always be remembered for blazing new trails with his research and writing over his long career and for his leadership in inspiring others to follow after him. ...

I was very sad to learn of Henry's death. I have known him for many years through our activities with the International Council of Psychologists and APA Division 52 (International Psychology). I was always delighted to see Henry. He was so kind to me over the years, and I learned so much from talking with him. His loss will be felt keenly by his family, friends, and colleagues. Those who did not have the good fortune to know him personally will remember him because of his many...
