Not sure what to say?

Henry was a dear friend of mine and my family for the past 65 years ever since he was my supervising teacher during my student teaching at Unity Christian High School. It was an honor to teach with him at Unity for 11 years and even though we moved to Washington, we kept in very close contact. It was a privilege to visit with him this past April. His love for the Lord and desire to serve others was a trademark for both Henry and his wife Edith. They opened their home and their hearts to us...

Memories of Henry stem from times at Sunset Manor during his tenure as chaplain. Our times together over breakfast were meaningful, as he would want, always prepared with one or more questions to shape our conversations. His penchant for and commitment to service were exemplary and I will not forget his genuine interest in people and their welfare. From what I saw, his was a life well spent in service. God go with you as you remember him.

We would like to express our sincere sympathy for the loss of dear Henry. He was a joy to know and even our office was blessed to receive muffins from Henry! During his years in our lifelong learning program, I always enjoyed talking to Henry and Joanne, and he blessed our program with participating in 56 courses with us. I always enjoyed his smile and time in conversation and I'm thankful that I could get to know him.

Henry was was a school teacher of mine. He was a teacher that taught me to value every person I come in contact with. I had coffee with him occasionally at Mc D's and enjoyed hearing the stories he had to tell as well as seeing the smile on his face when he came in to Mc D's. His smile told you what type of person Henry was and his smile also displayed his faith and love of Christ. Henry will be missed.

I was so sad to hear that Henry past, but happy to know Edith will be waiting with open arms for him. He and Edith were a great couple, God got a GREAT man.

We both were fortunate enough to have Mr. De Witt as a teacher at Unity where we remember him an energetic and caring instructor and counselor. Then many years later our paths crossed again as volunteers at New2You. It was so great to see him again and to enjoy his positive energy and concern for others. He was a very special man. Our sympathy to all of you who love and will miss him. God´s peace.

My deepest sympathies to all of you. I was a student of Mr. DeWitt(class of 1983). I'm sure he helped navigate many students towards their careers in life.

Mr. De Witt was my favorite teacher at Unity Christian. He took the time to have a private conference with each of his students, and I still remember the encouraging advice he gave me. I was blessed to have him in my life.
