Henry J. Deschenes, 89, of 57 Bates St. Fall River, died Friday at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (Poole) Deschenes.
Born in Fall River, the son of the late Francois Xavier and Albertina (Martin) Deschenes, he lived in Fall River most of his life.
He was employed for 32 years by Firestone Rubber Co. Fall River, retiring in 1972.
He leaves 2 daughters, Claire (husband Robert) St. Pierre of Westport
and Patricia (husband Robert) Herman of S. Dartmouth;
2 sons, Edward R. (wife Veronica) Deschenes of Fall River
and Arthur J. (wife Irene) Deschenes of Tiverton;
a brother, Joseph Deschenes of Fall River,
4 sisters, Anita Pineau, Alice Cote, Durille Roy, Lillian Deschenes and Grace Deschenes, all of Fall River,
numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren,
many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Irene Bouchard, Marie Petrin, Leo, Albert, Lionel and Theresa Deschenes.
Funeral Monday 3/24/03 at 9 am from AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME,
690 South Main St. Fall River,
with a funeral mass in St. Christopher Church, Main Rd., Tiverton at 10 am.
Entombment, Notre Dame Mausoleum.
