Not sure what to say?

Maj Gen Doctor was my Division Commander in 1985. I never heard of a more universally respected and beloved commander. If he happened to walk through your motor pool in the middle of the day, it wasn't to talk to anyone who just ran out of an air conditioned office. He was there to talk to soldiers. All by himself. No aide. His sedan would wait in sight, at a distance. He asked questions that couldn't be answered with a "yes" or "no". You had to think, or he'd rephrase. LOL It could go on...

LTG Doctor was my Division Commander in 85 at Camp Casey. Korea. He promoted me to Specialist and pinned on my new rank. God bless him and his family. SFC Taylor

It was my great pleasure to know LTG Doctor both in the military and in civilian life. We most spoke at Perpetual Savings Bank on Montrose Road in Gaithersburg Maryland. What a kind man who is missed. I'm grateful for knowing him and our paths crossing.

My heart will forever be sadden by the fact that this great, wise man is gone to soon. He is the essence of the Dad that I never had. I think of you often and you are always in my dreams.. rest Dad rest.

I strive every to be like my uncle, the man who brought victory to every mission on the battlefield and in everyones life he was a part of. Always missed Sir.

Me and my replacement @ Camp Giant, 2, Me getting some rest

Hello, My Name is Sgt. Charles H. Brown, and Ltg. Doctor was my Commander in Korea in (83-84)@ Camp Edwards West and @ Camp Giant. He was a Giant to me and Being from Conway, SC, I was very proud to have served with him. I still call him a gentle GIANT.
Thank you Sir For Service.

While browsing the web, I just learned of the passing of The Honorable General Doctor. General Doctor spoke at my commissioning ceremony in 1983 at Jackson State University, Jackson, MS. General Doctor gave a very encouraging and inspiring speech at the ceremony. My brief encounter with General Doctor motived me to always keep God first and do my best in life. The family has my prayers and sympathy. May God richly bless you.

I was Henry Doctor's personal driver while he was 1st Brigade Cmdr, 25th Infantry Div. Hawaii. I will remember him always as one of the most gracious people I have ever known. He always inspired people, including me. I am sorry I lost touch with him.

My name is Gregg Bingham and I met General Doctor while doing an NFL USO show in korea in 1985. Obviously he was an impressive man as I remembered his name all these years. It didnt take me long ( about a minute ) to see what a great leader he was and how important his mission was. Let there be no doubt his tutelage shaped the future for thousands of soldiers under his command.
