Henry Francis Duignan

Henry Francis Duignan, of Sanibel, Florida, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at 79 years of age. He was born on May 14, 1937 in Belfast, Northern Ireland to the late Henry Anthony and Mary Jessie Duignan. Henry was preceded in death by his first wife, Catherine Elizabeth Connolly, whom he had married in Belfast in 1958. In 1983, he married Sharon Clewell Rector in Nashville, Tennessee. Sharon remained his devoted and loving wife for 34 years. Henry was an avid lover of golf, art and literature. He is remembered as being a profound thinker and a big dreamer. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Sharon "Maggie" Duignan of Florida; Children Fionnula Florida, Philip Rector, Adam Rector,  and  grandchildren Nicholas & Nicole Rector, Daniel Vermillion, Laura Morton and Mary Florida all from Tennessee, and H. Stephen Duignan of Illinois; siblings, Walter Duignan of Florida, Anthony Duignan of France, and Jackie Ford of Illinois. He was preceded in death by first wife, Catherine M. Duignan; son, Henry Stephen Duignan; granddaughter, Elizabeth Vermillion, and brother, Michael Duignan. A private grave side service will be held in May of 2017 at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Elkhart, Indiana.
