Not sure what to say?

"Uncle Gigs" as we called him was my great uncle. One summer when I was 15 I lived with my Grandma Eileen in Ludlow and she lived next door to the Gaviglios. Over the course of the summer, Uncle Gigs (at age 70!) taught me how to play soccer on the big grassy lawn that was between the two houses. It was so much fun. I still remember him sitting at the big long table at my grandma's house on summer mornings, he always looked ready to jump into action! What a joyful person. My very best to the...

My sincere condolences to the family. I was Mr. Gaviglio's dental hygienist at Wilbraham Family Dentistry and I enjoyed many interesting conversations with him, many about wine!

My father introduced me to Henry Gaviglio around 1970 when we developed an interest in wine. We remained friends ever was since. I learned over time that Henry knew his wine, he had more knowledge and better taste than many experts and shared his love of wine with all. Henry was kind and caring enough to keep in touch by phone checking on my well being, reminiscing about wines tasted, remembering specific bottles and celebrations shared so long ago. Always positive and upbeat, always thankful...

Bobby Gaviglio, Henry's nephew, was a childhood friend of mine in Longmeadow all those years ago. We lost touch after he moved to Milan. Henry was a valued and reliable donor to the WGBY annual wine auction to benefit the station. Great family! May he rest in peace.

I first met Henry when I began selling wine for Ruby Wines. He was a true gentleman and a fountain of knowledge. I always enjoyed my sales calls to East Street in Ludlow and my visits to Henry.

What a wonderful man and family friend. Loved his phone calls with stories about my noni and my parents. And still playing his trumpet - on his last birthday he told me he played happy birthday to himself!!! Now more beautiful music with Fran and John!! Will miss his calls. Love Marcia Guerra Chwalek

There is another bright light in the heavens. He always had a smile. d Bless the family.

Great guy!

I met Henry when I ran the local Friendly in Ludlow. He always had time for a pleasant conversation and I can attest that he was held in high regard as a very nice man and a good neighbor in the town of Ludlow. I offer my sincere condolences to Henry"s family and his many friends
