Not sure what to say?

Dear Alice and Family our condolences on the lost of Henry. During our years at St Johns your family participation and contributions were valued. As director of VBS during summer the highlight of program was the visit to the farm and hospitality of the Goebel Family.

Mrs. Goebel, Paul, Peter, Beth, Jonathan -
My heartfelt condolences to you on the death of your husband and dad. I'll always remember him as one of the "fixtures" at St. John's when I was growing up...

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Dear Alice and family,
It is with such sadness that Rotary has lost such a dedicated man. I have so many wonderful memories of discussions during the Youth Exchange weekends years ago. My loving thoughts go out to each of you.

Denise (Mulligan), Jim, Ashley, Daniel, Jeffrey and Connor Sheriff

My best wishes to all of Judge Goebel's friends and family. I am sure that all the members of the Magistrates Association will miss him.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

To Alice, Jonathan, and families,

We will all miss Henry, one of the pillars of our community. He served us well. He has been a wonderful neighbor and took such good care of my Aunt Naomi. She looked to him for help, advice, and friendship. I have a funny remembrance of an experience Henry and I had to together one snowy winter day when I was visiting Aunt Naomi from sunny California. I will retell it to you another time. We pray that his journey in the next life is full of light...

Dear Johnathan,
Please accept my sympathy for your loss. I had the pleasure to meet your father just once, but his presence is legendary in these parts. Every time we passed his house I would hear, "Oh there is Judge Goebel's home", and so in this way he has also welcomed me, a newcomer, into this community.
Respectfully,
Iliona Outram Khalili
