I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Mr. Grathwohl at the USMC monument dedication ceremony at Freedom Park two years ago. With pride, I showed him a photo of my Dad's brother who served in the USMC during World War II. Mr. Grathwohl was a wonderful person and my conversation with him was brief but very fascinating and most memorable. I thanked Mr. Grathwohl for serving our Country and told him that he was a true hero in my eyes. He humbly thanked me. May God Bless Mr. Grathwohl and his entire family.

It was a pleasure to have known you these past few years in the MCL. My son who also had an opportunity to meet you after Boot camp at Parris Island was also very impressed with your service to our country. God Bless you and your family! Semper Fi!

Steve and Patty: I am sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I can still see him at most of our track meets back in the 70's, sitting at the finish line with a stop watch in hand. It was a pleasure to know him. We are praying for you and your families.
