Not sure what to say?

I’ve been using the AZ taking Book service since the mid 90’s and I’ve been helped by Henry more times than I can count. He always knew what books I would enjoy and he always made me feel like we were close friends anytime we talked. I will miss hearing his voice and his amazing book suggestions. I pray we can meet again one day. May his soul rest in paradise.

When I was new to the Reference Desk, I was privileged to work with and learn from Henry at Chandler. He was a wonderful librarian and a truly special human being--his passing is a loss to the profession and the world.

I am a volunteer at Arizona Talking Books Library. One of my greatest pleasures was to greet Henry twice a week when I arrived to do my volunteer machine repair. We had a most friendly rivalry; Henry went to USC and I went to Oklahoma University (OU). We talked football a lot. I know from talking to Henry's clients that he was a very helpful librarian and much admired. He was a great guy! We will miss him.

To the family of Henry Hayden , I want to express my sorrow for their loss.
Also to let you know how much I appreciated the helpful and polite way Henry
treated me when ordering books from Az. Talking Book Library.
There were times I was at a loss for what I wanted to read and Henry would say
" I'll pick out some books I think you will enjoy" . . and I did..
I realize there are other staff members at ATBL that have similar qualities as Henry
bu in my heart....

Whenever I called about books, he was always so gracious and always had time for me. He always had a good book or two. Can't say how much I appreciated this, He will be missed. I am so glad I kne w him if only on the phone. My thoughts and prayers are with his family

I'm going to miss Henry. We worked together for almost 20 years here at the Chandler Public Library and together we helped each other grow and learn the ever changing ways of the library. I did my best to show him the ways of Circulation and he tried to get me to watch sports with him. In the end we just loved talking about great movies. Well I should say movies in general, our taste in films were not always the best. Ha! I will always remember him and his voice. We laughed at the desk as we...

I will miss my best-phone-friend, Henry. He has assisted me with books from the Arizona State Talking Book Library for over 12 years. We have had many enjoyable, funny and witty conversations during this time. (He spoiled me rotten.) My heart is broken for his family and co-workers. Sincerely, Kathi Fischer

I worked with Henry Hayden at the Braille Institute. We have kept in touch over the years. I am proud to know him, he was kind and compassionate. He was the first person to express to me that I had a natural gift as a manager/leader. I pray for his family to be comforted and to have peace. Kind regards, Tina Herbison

I was a co-worker with Mr. Hayden at Cholla Library in the 1990s. He was a gentleman, first rate librarian, and a pleasure to work with. I am truly sorry for your loss.
