Not sure what to say?

Harry was a wonderful man, always made me smile and laugh. When I was pregnant with Mike's and my son, he used to tease me and say does Mike now I'm the father. It was such a joke between us. May he rest in peace.

My deepest sympathy to Harry’s family, I worked so many years ago at Waldenbooks, I was the admin for Becky Robertson in the marketing department. Although I didn’t have much contact with Harry the few times I did he was very kind and always had a smile. So many years ago but all good memories. Rest in peace Harry

Harry was an Awesome leader and even better person. He lead us though some very good times.

Harry’s passion for books and innovations are responsible for the blooming of a robust Retail book industry of the 1970s & 80s.

Twenty years of my life were spent in the business - 12 years in retail management at Waldenbooks stores and 8 years at Waldenbooks Home Office where Harry was CEO. I have so many good memories of Harry!

When Harry was at Waldenbooks he knew everyone’s name and always greeted us by our name.

He made the wonderful world of...

Thinking about my first boss and mentor, Harry Hoffman. He was President and CEO of Waldenbooks and I was his young and eager Executive Asst. back in Stamford, CT. Little did I know that the lessons he was teaching me then about keeping the client first, staying true to what you do best, and always putting everything you have into what you stand for and believe in would guide me to this day. He was a marketing genius, and changed the way booksellers, writers and publishers came together in...

Henry was a great man Waldenbooks was my first real job love working for him a very fair man

remember Harry so vividly as a force of nature in book retail at a time that I was embarking on my publishing career in the early '80s. I looked forward to the annual Walden marketing presentation with a combination of awe and fear. I knew our publisher wallets would be a little lighter by the end of the day! Rest in peace, Harry.
