Henry Curtis Ishee

Ishee, Henry ?Pete? Curtis, age 87, of Columbiana, passed away peacefully at home on November 14, 2015. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday November 18, 2015 at Bolton Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at the chapel. Burial will be at Columbiana City Cemetery. Bolton Funeral Home is directing.

Mr. Ishee was born in Stringer, MS and worked as a millwright in Laurel, MS before moving his family for work to Selma and Birmingham, AL. On November 25, 1949, he married his sweetheart, Wanza and they were together for over 58 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Clay and Viola Blackledge Ishee; his siblings: Lilly, Velton, Floyd, Virgil, Roy, Jewel Ishee Hayes (Dewey), Ruth Ishee Carter (Bill) and his wife, Wanza Viane Gandy. He is survived by his sisters and brothers: Mae Gatlin Blackledge, David Oleous Ishee, both of Laurel, MS., Janell Philmon, Sneads, FL., and Ray Ishee (Kathy), of Anniston, Al. He leaves behind his children: Jimmy Kurt Ishee, Teena Lynn Gregory (Donald), and Rebecca Jan Davidson (Ricky), all of Columbiana as well as three grandchildren: Scott B. Gregory, Amy J. Davidson, both of Columbiana and Christie Davidson Lowe (Tim) of Grovetown, GA., and his beloved great-granddaughters: Margaret Evelyn, Julia Claire, and Gwyneth Laurens Lowe, all of Grovetown, GA. Mr. Ishee was Regular Army and a World War II Veteran.
